On the passing of one of the storied female leaders of the modern world, the International Women’s Forum pays tribute to our own honorary member and one of the first inductees into the inaugural International Hall of Fame – The Right Honourable Margaret Thatcher, British Prime Minister (1979-1990). Her remarkable rise to become the first woman to lead a top western world democracy by winning three consecutive General Elections is an unrivaled political record for a twentieth century female leader.
Mrs. Thatcher’s induction into the IWF Hall of Fame took place at the British Embassy Residence in Washington, DC in 1986.
