On Friday, 250 Dallasites will get a rare treat, compliments of chef Patrick O’Connell of the famed Inn at Little Washington. O’Connell and Dallas chef Stephan Pyles will collaborate for a four-course dinner in the Hilton Anatole’s Wedgwood Room. The dinner is part of the Dallas stop of the James Beard Foundation’s Taste of America tour.
The foundation is partnering with the Dallas nonprofit Café Momentum to raise money for the James Beard Foundation culinary scholarship and training programs.
Five local chefs are participating in a tasting reception prior to the dinner. They are Tim Byres of Smoke,Omar Flores of Casa Rubia, Matt McCallister of FT33, Janice Provost of Parigi and David Uygur of Lucia. Local notable have agreed to be honorary sous chefs, including Herb Weitzman, Liz Minyard Lokey, Joe Pacetti, Steve Reiter and Wendy Lopez. WFAA’s Ron Corning is serving as master of ceremonies.
