About Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park
National Historical Park in two separate districts: Johnson City (named for President Johnson’s great uncle, James Polk Johnson) has the park’s visitor center and museum with two theaters, the house where Johnson grew up, and the cabin where LBJ’s grandparents settled in 1867 after moving from Georgia. The LBJ Ranch is located 14 miles west of Johnson City following Hwy. 290 toward Fredericksburg.
Admission to the LBJ State Park and the National Park Service LBJ Ranch is free. Adults, age 17-61, are charged $2 per person for a tour of the Texas White House.
